Hi, I’m Yogita
I am an interdisciplinary designer with a background in Product, Furniture and Industrial Design. Currently working as a furniture designer, I graduated from Parsons School of Design, New York with a BFA in Product Design.
At the heart of my design process is a deep appreciation for the way cultural behaviors, material properties, and human senses shape our experiences. I aim to create products that are visually engaging, playful, and resonate with the user on a deeper level by observing their interactions with one another. My design process is driven by the rich knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes acquired through prototyping and user testing. I believe that the best designs are those that are developed in close collaboration with the users who will ultimately enjoy them.
I have expertise working with Adobe Creative Suite, Computer-Aid Design, MS Office, Sketching, Prototyping, User research and Ideation. I have previously worked as a freelance Jewellery Designer and have taken up Branding and Packaging Proejcts. I am quick at learning new skills and equally responsive to feedback and changes happening around me.
My perspective as a designer matured when I started studying at Parsons. I learned through collaborative experiences and responded to complex ideas by understanding human behavious.
